- It is generally assumed that Dry foods help in minimizing dental diseases as compared to canned or semi-moist foods which is a total myth.

This is a fad, since the company selling dog food knows about the nutritional requirements of dogs, sometimes even better than you.
- It is also believed that we need to give our pets some Supplements if they are being fed on commercial pet food. This is not true, good pet food companies take care of your pet's nutritional needs.
- Most of us are of the notion that Preservatives cause cancer and other diseases in dogs. This is not true in most cases.
- It is a widespread myth that Neutering makes pets gain weight and become obese. This is wrong as neutering does not affect the weight of your pet.
